When I unlock or lock the outside lock slot on the driver's side, the lock will engage or disengage. However, the passenger's side one will not move. Any suggestions?

 

Can you manually unlok the door?

You can test the lock actuator. For any more information - we are going to have to know what the year, trim and number of doors.

 

I can manually unlock the door, inside or outside with the key. It's just that the driver's side lock, when unlocked does not unlock both doors. It used to do that. I have a 2001 Honda Accord Ex Coupe.

 

Gotta hit unlock on drivers side twice to unlock passenger side.

 

rockycat, the problem I am having is a new one. When I first got the car, unlocking the driver's side lock would unlock both doors with one turn.

 

Just checked mine and it is not a two turn process but it is a long hold for the other doors to nunlock.

 

Not a single combination of factors works. None that I have tried, nor any recommended on this thread. I give up. I suppose there is a mechanical issue somewhere, but it is not worth pursuing in my opinion. Thanks.

 

The problem sounds electrical, not mechanical.
