02 Civic EX bucking
I drive a 2002 Honda Civic EX manual transmission. 137,000 miles. Tranny rebuilt as well as clutch replaced two years ago, belts as well. I went to a well known mechanic for some work to be done. I recently got my right axle replaced (CV Problem), and a sensor replaced that controlled my idle rpms, rear engine seal replaced, and my heat/ac fixed (i didn't have either) and my wire/connections cleaned. I had a problem ever since i left where when i slow down gradually without using the brake my car bucks, almost like a hiccup. Brought it back they replaced some kind of motor. The next day it bucked again. Brought it again they replaced the axle because they said it didn't feel right when it was on the lift and they spun the wheel manually. I was good for a few days now i have more problems. The bucking is back, after shoveling my car out i noticed a neon yellow drip under my car and my car makes a noise when i accelerate. Imagine taking a toy car you wind in reverse and let it go. That noise it makes when you let it go is what i hear idling and when i accelerate i hear it getting almost faster like it matches with my rpms. My mechanic did say that if it bucks again it might be something with the AC. I had my defrosters on because we just had a snowstorm and i did turn them off and it still bucks. Also the car feels heavy almost like i have a couple extra hundred pounds. I'm gonna check the tire pressure tomorrow but can they all be related to the same problem?
Here's a summary of the facts:
- Neon yellow fluid under my engine
- Car feels heavy when I accelerate
- Car makes a winding noise when I accelerate or idle
- Car bucks when gradually slowing down
- CV joint/axle replaced
- AC/Heat fixed recently
- Coolant was checked and it's ok
- No lights are on the dash (check engine etc)
- All fluids are normal

The whining noise could be a bad transmission main bearing. If you depress the clutch pedal, does the noise go away?
For the bucking, are any CEL codes thrown? How old are the spark plugs?
