Pulling CEL codes on b16a2 P30ecu?
I tried to pull the CEL codes in my 92 civic that has a b16a2 and p30 ecu, but I never got any flashing light at all. I tried it a few times and nothing. The CEL just stays on! Any tips? I tried searching, but didn't find much.
Exactly how are you trying to pull codes? Are you sure you aren't messing it up? After the guy who wanted to ground out harness wires the other week...
Paper clip, and I tried it a few different times while watching a video just to make sure.. I don't know what I could be doing wrong, but I also have never done it before either lol
Take a picture of where you're sticking the paperclip.
It might seem silly, but I'm serious when I say a guy wanted to pull a wire out of his ECU to ground it to check for codes, because his dumbfuck "mechanic" told him to. Covering all the bases before we tell you your ECU is fried.

Well, here it is.
Are you sure you're getting them in there deep enough to make good contact? If you are, then reset the ECU, see if the CEL comes back on, and try to jumper it again. If it still stays solid, then hopefully you have a friend with a working P30 (A P28 can work for a quick test, but shouldn't be used long term) to test.
