Default 93 Del Sol exhaust question

I'm currently building a Del Sol with a JDM turbo B16a swap, I'm rebuilding the whole thing from scratch with a full Brian Crower titanium valve train and stage 3 turbo cams, and a Brian Crower stroker kit (BC crank, sportsman rods, JE pistons). Turbo I'm using is a turbonetics T3/T4 T04E .63ar. I'm looking to get a good exhaust (don't want an eBay special $200 ricer exhaust) I was looking at a skunk2 megapower 60mm catback exhaust just know nothing about it, if its any good and what flaws it has etc. If you guys know anything about it or have any recommendations for a really good exhaust system let me know. All help is appreciated!

i say Yonaka Catback $250 OR build your own Custom Exhaust (aka Downpipe > 2.X"-3" piping>ur own axleback/muffler)

I didnt have the luxury of finding any good exhaust setup so i created my own.

i got Header > cat > 2.5" piping > Tanabe Axleback.

or u can go w/ a good name brand (if u can justify spending that much) ie Tanabe catback / spoon setup / apexi / bla bla but those usually run $300+ used/ $600+ new

Save your money. Get a quality muffler, resonator, and catalytic converter. Bring them to an exhaust shop that can do proper bends (NOT crush bends), and have them fab something up for you. You'll get a better exhaust, for less money.

this ^^

Heres a kit that has all hardware needed. Just pic the muffler and resonator.

HONDA TK

If going boost, 3" is always recommended. The less backpressure the better.

Remember, the larger volume the muffler and res has, the more sound will be suppressed.

Vibrant universal mufflers work well.

I'm personally a fan of Thrush Turbo mufflers. Cheap as hell, and they sound good. OEM sound at idle, no highway drone, and a nice throaty sound when you get on it.

I would like to build a custome exhaust but if I do that I'm gonna make something obnoxious, like have it come out the quarter panels or some ****. If I can buy a full cat back that would be perfect, I don't plan on putting a cat on it cause simply **** that ****. I'm really leaning towards that skunk2 I've been reading up on it and everyone says good things about but 90% of Honda guys have a really bad fart sound and think it sounds nice so I've been on different forums seeing what peoples opinions are of it. But I do like the custom build idea

I've got a greddy catback exhaust on my car and it's obnoxiously loud. Would cutting off the greddy muffler and putting on a thrush turbo muffler quieten it down a lot?

Depending on which Greddy you have, yes, it would most likely make a big difference. There's more to exhaust note than just the muffler, though. Piping size, resonator, and cat all have an effect on it, too.

Thanks. I believe the cat is stock, but the weather's been too wet since I got the car to look. I was going to get a different cat back exhaust, but those are not cheap.

if you want to throw your cash at some name brand exhaust then go ahead..

a tube is a tube no matter who's name is on it.

The down pipe I have is 2.5 inch should I stick with that or go 3 inch for the piping?
