3rd gear grinds
I get a slight nick / grind shifting into 3rd gear sometimes. I already am using GM Synchromesh FM fluid. All other gears shift nice and smooth.
Tricky thing is - I just put a new synchro and bearing kit into this transmission, and it still has this grind.
Any tricks to try? Any fluids to try?
93 Accord w/ H2A5 transmission. Thx all.

You could have a bent shiftfork. I don't have experience running GM fluids, I know Honda recommends either theirs or a motor oil. Fluids aren't your problem, it's either something in your linkage, a bad fork or something went wrong in your overhaul. What exactly was in the kit/did you replace?
It sounds like it had the grind before you did the rebuild. Did you take any pics of the assembly ? It's best to take pics and have a reputable tranny part dealer tell you what should be replaced. With a grind it should be visible when you do a tear down what the issue is. I'm assuming you replaced the rings ?
Yeah I replaced the synchro rings and I did mic all of the shafts to make sure they were within limits per the Honda overhaul procedure.
I did notice that the teeth on the sliders had wear on them, rounded over. I assume that is where I messed up and should have used new parts. Unfortunately I did not take pics of the individual parts, just the assembly.

Just wanted to share my experience. I have a '94 accord lx with mt, and while it didn't grind, it was a B#TCH to get it into first or reverse. It just wouldn't go into gear (even when completely stopped) unless I put it in neutral and blipped the throttle first, and even then sometimes it took several attempts. I was convinced there was a mechanical problem but I replaced the fluid with Honda fluid first, and it completely solved the problem. It's been about a year and it's just smoother all-around.
Thanks for the inputs.
I didn't realize that the correct lubricant is 10w-30 oil, I thought it was 5w-30. I looked it up and it appears that Honda MTF is also 10w-30. The GM Synchromesh is 5w-30. I ordered some or the Honda MTF and will try that and see how it improves.
Hopefully the grinding is related to the oil being too thin when cold, when the grinding is worse.
