Default Questions on adding a turbocharger to a 93 CB7

Good Morning fellow Honda Enthusiasts! So I was wondering how hard is it to turbocharge a completely bone stock F22A1?

I was also wondering what brands I should go with as I have decided to buy it part-by-part instead of buying a kit (or is it easier to buy a kit? And if so what kit should I get?)

As always I thank you for your time!

This is one of those 'search' topics I'm sure. My advice would just be do a compression test first to see how healthy the engine is.

It would doubtless be easier to buy a kit, just don't buy any ebay brands for the hard parts like the turbo, wastegate, fuel management, ect.

Lots of boosted F Series engines around the forum. What parts you need is dependant on how you want the engine to perform, what you want to use the car for and your budget.

Check out the forced induction forum to pick up a few tips and tricks to sizing your turbo and piecing together a system. If you are looking at kits avoid the cheap (sub $2k) ebay kits.

Ya gotta pay to play
