Default 260k miles and climbing!!!

I'm at 259,673 and climbing. I just got this vehicle from an elderly couple who have taken very good care of the car it seems. Its a 94 Honda accord DX 5 speed. I was seeing what maintenance and upkeep I need to do to make sure she can last a solid 2 yrs+ I would love if I could keep her running for a 4-5 years longer.

keep in mind u have a DX not a corvette. should last fine with basic oil changes and a trans fluid change (not flush). timing belts last if not pushed hard even after 10+ years. main relay is always the FIRST thing to check for a no start condition. look over the FAQ at top of forum

I actually just finished the oil change today. It was changed 6 months last time but only 1900 miles ago but I wanted to change it just to have some brand new fresh stuff . I know its had the blower motor and new tires and water pump changed in the last 2 1/2 yrs

ive seen hondas and toyotas go 500,000 miles easy. very common. the reality is that most early 90's hondas/toyotas odometer breaks and the mileage is not accurate. with some other cars the car falls apart in the 100k range and is scrapped

I mostly bought the car for a temp car wishing for a year to year and half use but if these cars are that reliable especially with simple maintenance and upkeep I'll deff keep it much longer till she craps out. And for $1200 I really can't complain.
