Default help me.. my stereo system...

this is My setup in my integra.

My stereo deck hooks up to a kenwood amp and a cd changer in the trunk.
all sounds are controlled by the amp.

It was working the other night. all speakers in the front and rear were functioning.
Today when I disconnected the wires in the back of the amp(2 rows of horseshoe wires, 4 on top and 4 on the bottom, and 3 cables) because I wanted to take out the back seats. I reconnected them exactly how they were before.

PROBLEM is, NO sound are coming out of ANY of the speakers. The stereo deck is playing, the cd changer is working, the radio antenna and the radio is working BUT NO SOUND. I checked the connectiond from the cd changer to the amp, it was fine. One thing I noticed is that previously the amp had a red light ON when I turn the stereo deck on but now is not on anymore. HELP ME... There's a fuse in the back of the amp, but it looks fine... DOn't know what To do, I need my music. EVerything is working, but NO SOUND...

Check your RCA and Speaker wires (-) to (-), (+) to (+) from the amp first to see if that did it if not check it behind the head unit.

with the light not being on you are not getting power to the amp, if you alreaty checked the power line from the battery to the amp and the fuse on the amp and fuse on the line near the battery, then the next thing to check is the ign turn on line, and your ground, make sure both have good conections

I haven't checked the line with the fuse under the hood. I think that's the only line connecting the battery to the amp. What is the ign turn on line?

thanks

you dont need to check the fuse under the hood (back up fuse) if your clock comes on because there hook on the same fuse as the head unit.

the ing line is connected so that amp is only on when the car is on. if it is not connected then the amp will not turn on, that sounds like it could be ur problem. its usually a thin crappy wire compared with the others

u mentioned before that the red light was on before you disconnected everything ... it seems like you probably blew out the fuse of the amp ... the fuse is usually connected to your positive wite, close to the battery ... this happend to me a couple of times, no big deal, just buy a new fuse pop it in, and i'm sure it will work ... also check u'r groud wire, make sure it is connected properly...

No you are not understanding what i said, it would be an inline fuse for the dedicated power line that is run directly from the battery back to the amp

check both this and the conections on the amp turn on line( usually conneced with your head unit behind the dash- thin wire) and the ground concetions, if any one of the three is not making a good conection the amp will not get power

I don't think it's connected to the ign because I played music a few times when the ign is off and the amp and everything worked.
I will get a new fuse for under the hood and in the back of the amp and check behind the deck for loose cnnection tomorrow. hopefully that'll solve the problem

believe me it is conected to an ignition source somewhere, otherwise your amp would stay on all the time, its the same power source that tells your head unit to turn on and off when you turn the car on and off

if your amp plays when yer car is off, you better carry jumper cables, or have a stick with a friend to help push
