I need a help to know more about warranties for new Honda. Urgent please
Hello All
I am international so I don't know all the normal things here in the states. Anyway, I purchased a 2015 Honda accord coupe ex, and I got it in a good price comparing to the near by dealers. I will get the car on Monday and will pay the rest of the money.. The concern is whether there is a free warranty for the tech/transmission and etc for my car for the first 100,000 miles or not?
After I paid the first amount and I got the receipt from them (so we done the contract), they told me there is a warranty that costs $2500 for the 100,000 miles if there is any issues with the transmission or the machine etc. So did they lie on my? or it is normal? I will truly not get their warranty because I am not willing to pay $2500, but is there other warranty from them or the manufacturer that they don't tell me about or not?
If there is no warranty, did they lie on me and they needed to get money out of my pocket because I got the car in a good deal?
What is my rights? Oil free? If something happen with the tires, tech, or transmission what should I do?
Thank you so much

There is a "standard" warranty from the car maker, then there are some that are from the federal government (emmisons mainly).
The owners manual will have the standard and fed warranties listed.
I think what they are selling is an added/extended warranty. Example, I think the standard warranty on the trans is 60K miles. So the extended warranty will cover you another 40K miles on the trans.
I don't want to start a debate on the extended warranty. I'll just leave it at "some go for it and others don't".
