I Put in an NRG quick release in the Del sol! But having a really hard time finding the horn wire. Thats the only problem. So confused after all the research ive done. Im using a 22 Gauge wire as well for the horn idk if that would effect the horns functionality (just thought i should add that)
In this pic i used a quick connector to a Blue wire thinking that was the wire but the horn didnt work so i need a little help :/
Here i just took a further away pic for reference.
Thanks so much just need help finding that HORN wire.
Hey ChrisRock was working on my del Sols (1995) horn today and found this thread. Don't know what exactly you were trying to do....
but that is the wiring harness to the Horn relay that you have in the pics.
The bottom two are for the switch, the top two / three carry the current for the actual horn.... have a diagram that can help but not sure how to upload. first post here!
For anyone who find this thread..... here is the diagram: (Stolen from another site or thread)
So the White/Green wire and TWO blue/red wires are always hot. (so is the Blue/Green when plugged into relay) The black gets juice only when the relay closes. It carries the current that sounds the horn. If you are trying to sound the horn from a custom switch (say for a quick release steering wheel or you dont want to pay for a new Cable Reel) Then you would tap into the black wire and send it to a switch. Run a wire from other terminal on the switch to ground.
