Default EG / del Sol 12V ACC in engine bay?

I did a search assuming I'd have found somebody working on this topic, but I didn't find anything of value (perhaps I am searching wrong, though.) I'd like to wire a makeshift set of DRL LEDs for my 96 del Sol, but need a switched 12V IGN/ACC wire that is preferably close to the front bumper and OK to tap to drive a DRL relay. Which wire is the safest/closest to splice into?

Run it to the batter.

The battery would be always on. I'm looking for a wire that is only on when the car is on that I can draw power to trigger a relay from.

Check out the handy option slots in the dash fuse box. Install an in-line fuse.

Yeah, I was just hoping I didn't need to run a wire from the front bumper all the way into the cabin. It seems that is the "right way". This line would only be used to switch a relay, so I probably don't need more than a basic 1A fuse inline.

Is there a place where I can buy the option connectors as a pigtail or the like? From the manual scans I see, they look proprietary. I would rather be as factory as possible vs just sticking a wire in there.

I've seen people plug connectors into the option slots, so I assume they're available. PM HondaPartshero. He may know where to find them.
