Brand new clutch slipping, please help
1998 Honda CR-V 5-Speed AWD. Here's the deal, I was having clutch problems, put a brand new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and both bearings in about a week ago. I wiped everything off thoroughly but still had the same issue which turned out to be master cylinder (doh!) so I got that fixed. Right after having it fixed my car drove like a dream, so smooth, really quick and responsive. Now, after maybe a couple hundred miles, I'm having MAJOR clutch slip, and I mean BAD. It's really strange though, this morning it was fine, worked great, drove on the highway about 15 minutes and when I got off, serious clutch slipping. Yesterday, it would slip after starting my car and driving, but then after a while it would get better. I did notice this morning that the pedal felt different, it had more action to it, when it's slipping bad it doesn't go as far to the floor.
Do hydraulic clutches like these need adjusting after a new clutch?
I have a leaking valve cover gasket that I will be repairing soon, anyway the oil is getting into the clutch and causing problems?
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance everyone.

You probably don't have any FREE PLAY in your clutch pedal. In other words it's just like you are pushing down slightly on the clutch pedal at all times even with the clutch pedal up. The FREE PLAY is the amount of distance you push the clutch pedal down before any resistance is felt where the clutch begins to release.
The Haynes manual says you should have 1/2 to 3/4 inch free play. You need to adjust the threaded rod to get this much free play. I'm not familiar with a CRV with a clutch, but I assume this threaded rod is inside on the clutch pedal. It could possibly be by the slave cylinder.
Anyway you need to get this adjusted As Soon As Possible so you don't burn up your new clutch parts.

Ok so I now have a completely new clutch system, the clutch that I put in previously, brand new master cylinder, and now brand new slave cylinder. I'm still having problems. The issue is, it's fine sometimes, normal play in the pedal, no slipping, then sometimes it will change. And what I mean is it COMPLETELY changes, the play in the pedal disappears, it gets firmer, and it starts slipping. What the hell?
