Default d16z6 o2 sensor.

Hello guys just a quick question. I replaced my 02 sensor on my 93 d16z6 7 months ago. Well just a month ago I got a cel 41 so I had a warranty on my 02 and replaced it again. Well just today my Cel popped on again and well cel 41.
I have heard that Bosch 02 sensors aren't good for Hondas not sure if its true tho. The part store said i can only get one more then they are deleting my warranty so should I try a different brand of o2 if so what kind?

Test the O2 heater wires with a multimeter.

You may have the typical hairline crack in the exhaust manifold in the runner that is closest to the O2 sensor. This causes the cel light. Remove the heat shield and try to see it . The crack may be on the back of the runner and be hard to see. Cheapest fix is to put on a header. As the crack grows especially after torqueing in replacement O2 sensors the idle surging will become more obvious after warm up.

There are three 02 codes on obd1, 1, 41 & 43 (although 43 isn't always 02 related). 41 is for the heater circuit. The crack might cause code 1 but not 41.

NTK or Denso. Either one works fine. Bosch does not work well in a Honda for whatever reason.

Sorry guy I haven't been able to check the volts or anything its been snowing like crazy.
But I do have a header and it is not cracked for sure Like Hondapartshero was saying.
I wil still check it when it stops snowing and look into a new sensor.

94EG8 nailed it on the head. Though as some frame for reference, take note of the shape of the bosch sensor, it is most likely beer can shaped with one hole on the bottom. While the Denso have holes all over which is a much more efficient design.
