Icon4 high comp z6

Alright ive been working on this build for a few months gathering parts and info and I just wanted to see if I have everything straight and not missing anything.

Head:
port/polish
3 angle valve job
titanium retainers
better springs
stage 2 bisi cam
AEM cam gear
milled .030"

Block:
decked .010"
p29 pistons
stock z6 rods
new main/rod bearings (matching crank/block numbers and letters)

Using a stock z6 head gasket and ARP head studs and rod bolts. I understand that the timing will be taken care of with the AEM cam gear? According to a comp calculator ill be running about 12.3:1 CR and I have access to 93 pump fuel. Will have it tuned good.

Anyone have any advise or know of any concerns I might run into? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be too many who are fond of the D series here. Have you tried D series.org? Sounds like a solid setup BTW, I'd view your build thread if you had one

I would add some rdx injectors ahead of time

I'm running almost the same set up and I made 175 hp at 7400rpm at the fly
And 145hp at the wheel with a 3.72 final drive and 175/50/13 tires
I'm running the stock 240cc injectors and I feel that better injectors would make Alittle more power
I have some itb's with filter socks and I'm running the bisimoto valve springs and flat face valves in the head
And at the time of my tune, I did it with reg fuel

Have fun with that motor

You only made 145whp with itb's, cam and 12:1+ compression? Was your header stock or something?

+1 on the RDX injectors

I need to get a better header, I think it's a huge problem
It's a cheap 4-2-1

And when I had it tuned, it was the 1st time the engine ran
I need to retune it now that it has a few miles on it

Sounds like a nice build. On the RDX injectors do you have to do anything special to get them to work with the head/manifold/harness? I work at acura so I can get them fairly easily.

If it is all pretty straight forward which RDX injectors should I use? I know theres a K turbo RDX and a J series RDX but idk if theyre any different.

you have to get injector hats, they are adapters to adapted them to the fuel rail and then the wiring is different,
new connector and pin or make a short adapter harness

I plan to go with rywire adapter harness, plugs right in
OBD1 harness to RDX injector adapters

injector hats
RDX injector hats for B/D series motors

I plan to buy the parts in the summer time and get my tune done at the same time

I got a wideband and at 43psi those 240cc's where making the engine run at 15-16:1, super lean and then I bumped my fuel pressure up to 60psi and it came down to 13.5-14.7:1 range and the car seems to be running a lot better with the higher fuel presure

I had my tune done in a place in the Uk and im not super happy with the job they did, but I plan to get the retune done up in Phx AZ now, since Ive moved

oh yeah, most import thing, the engine made it power with using low grade fuel,89octane,
they have higher grade off base but I wasn't about to pay $8 plus a gallon, plus with the shell at the time being rebuilt(90% of the panels replaced) the low octane was fine for then

ive heard that at 55psi Honda injectors perform the best so I think I might have it set to that whenever I get it tuned. thanks for your input. I cant check the site right now because im at work but do they make an adapter for obd2b harness? that's what im gonna be using with a p28
