Went to do a simple tune up on my 97 hx non vtec and after it started then died after running for 30 seconds. I changed cap,rotor,plugs,wires and fuel filter. In the process changed out the efi main relay,icm and replaced pump fuses. It currently gets No spark. No CEL is thrown. Any guidance is appreciated.

 

Why? If there was nothing wrong with these try swapping for the originals.

 

I searched the issue and those were suggested.

 

Bench test your ignition coil.

 

Or swap back icm

 

Just went to parts store for a new coil. They had one! If that doesn't work I'll switch the ICM back. My buddy owns a shop and said he would help but I'd like to solve this myself.

 

Check whether the fuel pump primes.

 

Pump primes. Changed fuel filter during tune up. Cracked the top bolt and got gas as well as unscrewed the gas cap and there was pressure built up. I can hear it prime too.

 

Got it all sorted out. Bad coil! Bright side is a freshly rebuilt distributor. On to the steering/suspension.
