Mechanical issue
I got a 92 honda accord sedan lx and this new Problem popped up and it's the only car I got at the moment. I was driving to work and it had problem signs before, but it wouldn't accelerate and every time I hit the gas it reved up but acted like I was hitting th brakes. I pulled over as soon as it slows down the engine shut off by itself and then wouldn't crank until I waited a few minutes then it would crank back up. I heard it was my ignition coil but I wanted see what everyone else would thank. Anything would be helpful 👍
Post this in the tech section sir but this isn't an ignition coil, that may be the reason you had to wait for it to start but when an ignition coil goes out your car wont act as if you are hitting the breaks, i would buy a new ignition coil, cap and rotor its really easy to replace but i think the problem was that it didn't act like you were hitting the breaks but your car was slowly dieing and gave that feeling where it jerks on you a bit and then dies, but replace what i said and you should be fine. (:
I agree. Sounds like it needs a tune up. I had a similar problem but it just shut off then started rite up. One day it shut off and didn't start up. It was my igniter. Still though a tune up wouldn't hurt and it fixes a lot of problems.
