Ignition problem/question
I have a 92 Accord Ex and recently the ignition crapped out on me. I'm not sure if this is a common problem with Accord so I guess what I am here to ask is: What are the common malfunctions with the ignition system? I don't want to go through the hastle of replacing the entire ignition when all I might need is a new cylinder.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

First, how do you know it's definitely ignition?
Common ignition problems are cracked rotor, bad coil, bad ignitor, faulty ignition switch, in no particular order.
good luck

Most of the time with a no spark it ends up being the coil. Depends on which distrib. system you have. If the coil is internal its usually that. If its external then it ends up being either the Ignitor or ignition wire.
If it was a cracked cap then you would have had problems in the past with water when it rained or on a cold night where there is dew on your windshield.

My 92 was the igniter. Luckily mine was replaced by the dealer as it was covered by a silent recall at the time. They no longer honor the recall and seem to have "forgotten" about it. Are you sure you have no spark?
