91 Honda Accord(No Spark!)
Hey guys I have searched the internet for quite a while now including this site. My 91 Accord has no spark! It turns over just fine and has no fire to plugs. I have changed the entire Distributor(Including all parts, Coil, Rotor Button, Igniter, Cap), new Plugs and Wires, New Main Relay! Still nothing really need help don't want to sell it for parts but looking like no other choice! Thank you!
when you turn the ignition to the "on" position do you hear a click as well as the cel (check engine light) turn on followed by a faint humming of the fuel pump priming in the rear seats then both the cel light and fuel pump turn off with a click? if that process does not happen then your main relay is not functioning correctly. treat this by first slamming your door or wiggling it around as the solder in the connections breaks. if that doesnt work either resolder the pins on your main relay or simply replace it.
i just now saw you said it has a new main relay. have you played with your ground connection under your thermostat housing yet? that is the ground your ecu uses for the cps signal that tells your ignitor to send a signal. make sure its clean and free of corrosion.
i have litterally the same problem as you and ive pretty much nailed it down to a bad ground i got the new dizzy and all components in, main relay is good, have power to the dizzy, but no spark. ill keep you posted with my findings and i tinker with it today. mines a 90 5speed w/ p/w, p/s, a/c, and a sunroof.

Hey thanks for the reply's but yeah I have thought of those as well took off the ground under the thermostat and cleaned it and replaced the battery terminals with new ones and put in a battery that in know is good the clicks are there as well as the fuel pump and the CEL comes on and then goes off after a couple of seconds like it should I'm still stumped not sure but think maybe the MAP sensor is bad not allowing the ECU to send signal to the Distributor but its REALLY expensive and want to be 100% sure that is the cause before replacing it!
the map sensor should not affect the ignition at all in any way during starting. before you go off buying more parts unplug your coolant temp sensor and try starting it. if that sensor has failed your ecu will not send any signal to the ignitor. the car will run with it unplugged. give it a try.
Status update.
Cleaned the ground. Then threw code 3 for map sensor. Redid vacuum lines to it and code went away then threw 8 for Tdc sensor going to replace that now. Let you know what happens
