Default bypass distributor computer

Need help on timing the distributor to the perfect timing. I have honda crv 2000 4cylinder. I was clean the distrubitor cap and accientially move the distributor and the car run but shaking a lot. I want to fix the problem but I don't know how to timing the dis tributor. I know I have to take to the tech. But going to cost me lots. I just need step by step if can fix it myself thanks I need help or feed back anyone.

you can get a amazon timing light for cheap and it'll do fine. all you need is a 12mm wrench to loosen the distributor and a paper clip to jump the service connector.

i'm curious as to how you messed up timing when cleaning the cap as you shouldn't have touched the 3 12mm bolts to get the cap off so timing shouldn't have been adjusted.

if you didn't touch those and you didn't actually move the distributor I would lean more towards your cap cleaning causing the problem and get a new cap.


anyways to adjust timing:
Get a timing light
get a paper clip
get a 12 mm wrench
