cb7 with cd5 transmission and torque converter
how do i check timing. i took the torque converter because it was rebuilt as well. so i had to change the flex plate. so how do i check timing, got a new dizzy and its sluggish until i hit 2500-3000 then it feels like vtec kicked in but im f22a4 hahaha
Did the drive plate not have markings on it?
I was fairly sure my CDs flexplate had notches like on the CB, not painted but still there.
Can you pull off the upper outer cam sprocket cover and rotate the cam to 'UP' (#1 TDC)?

ill do that. i was looking at the cd's flexplate and didn't see any markings like the tab on the cb7. maybe i missed it. ill do it with sunlight tomorrow just got off work. see if i see any timing marks on the flexplate ty
The larger diameter TCs and drive plates lack the 90° bent flaps...

But I was sure there were still markings on the edge of the disc or a window.

na i just bumped started to tdc, nothing. one thing i did notice the crank has markings on it and there is this Y looking thing on the lower timing cover. like the nissans do to do the timing.

put it to tdc, nothing on the flexplate. looked over at the crank pulley and the Y pointer is there and so are the marks on the crank pulley. timing is set. running smooth and consistent ty
