Canadian Type R production numbers.
I am very interested in this as well, I'm sure the numbers aren't very high, I have 99#50 and I've always wondered how many were produced that year when the US folks unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to purchase integra type r's from their acura dealerships.
Does anyone know why that was?

CDM Numbers
1997 - 160 confirmed
1998 - 197 approx
1999 - 257 is highest badge # I've seen so approx
2000 - 223 approx
2001 - 168 approx. but press releases suggest 250.
The approximate #s come from knowing approximately how many badges were stamped for each year and subtracting the known USDM production numbers. USDM and CDM share the same badge sequence.
Info we have is that only the CDM received 1999 ITRs because 1998s lingered on the US dealer lots for awhile. Some for 6 months or more. I recall hearing one being taken out of the showroom and stored out in the back lot of the dealer for awhile.

Did CDM cars ever come with factory A/C or were they all dealer installed accessories? I read somewhere in that for the 2000, they were still optional while USDM got it as standard equipment.

From what I gather as well, all 01 CDM ITRs were CW. I checked the registry and noticed that there was another 01 R in there that had my badge number (01-1265). I thought they were the same but I guess not! (Unless he was lying).
Would love confirmed 2001 numbers so that I can reg mine with collector plates perhaps in BC.

After looking at the registry, there are few 00 PYs, listed. I take it they are US cars? I realized after thinking about it that most if not all PY cars in Canada I have seen FS have been 2000. I never paid attention because I was only looking for CW.
So out of the 158 or 250 2001 models, they are a split between red interiors and black interiors on CW? Or could there be 158 red interior cars and 92 black interior ones. I remember looking at at 2001 CW a while back and it had a sticker for a black interior in the doorjamb.

If 257 is the highest # of 99's that doesn't mean that 257 R's were manufactured correct?
The badge #s don't correlate with production #s is what I have read but does anyone know how many actual 99s were manufactured?
Id like to know how rare the 99s are since they were Canadian only vehicles and because I have one lol. I've always wanted to know this, and I am having a really hard time digesting that itrs were lingering on any lot when they were new, in Canada people were absolutely crazy for the itr.
I even heard that a couple type rs were stripped right on the lot overnight at my local acura dealerships, the staff would come to work in the morning to find a type r without it's motor, seats etc.

This maybe a dumb question but reading over this peoplease are stating 99's where us 98 model years carried over and unsold here in the US. Where all canadian type r's built and assembled in the states or is there a Canadian factory where these where built?
Nice thread bump considering all the hype surrounding these caRs lately. With the current exchange rate it's hard to gauge the CDN market right now.
