Default s300 map or tps

hello I am trying to figure whether to go by tps or map based tables.... this is for a non-turbo engine. I cannot figure out how to read the map signal on the fuel/ignition table..
seems like the tps signal would be easier to tune with

What is your setup and what are you using it for? If you plan on driving it on the street daily and you want it to have stock type idle and stop and go characteristics, MAP/Speed density would probably be your best option.

You should do some research into speed density and Alpha N tuning. Speed density uses both map and TPS along with other PGM-FI sensors. Tuning via TPS is very 1 dimensional and will take you more time to figure out all the fine operational details.

I have a 96 Accord EX 2.2l Vtec
Bisimoto stage 2 camshaft
Cam gear
Headwork
Lightweight flywheel

And yes this is a daily driver
That want more power with and to play with fuel and ignition at cruise

yungMula I've come across some non-ITB NA engines that had a huge gap in VE between atmosphere and WOT.

If you're breathing really well and you're riding the same fuel table column at half throttle as you are at full throttle, you should probably switch to alpha-N.
Especially at higher altitude, the MAP becomes less and less useful.

But you should never use strictly TPS, you should switch to TPS-based secondary maps once you reach atmosphere. Alpha-N tuning is covered in the manual in my signature. It's Crome based but it's a similar process in Hondata.

"you should switch to TPS-based secondary maps once you reach atmosphere" secondary maps as in high vtec cam maps?

S300 has low cam primary, high cam primary, low cam secondary, and high cam secondary. You can have the primaries and secondaries set as alpha-n or speed density individually. The high cam maps can be set the same way. The secondary maps have different trigger situations vs the high cam triggers
