Yes you will need the Si LCA's. Yes the Si is 26mm. Your EX is 22mm in Front. Rather than put a bigger front bar on, put the Si rear bar on your car. You will like the balance better. An Si front alone will push like mad. A 24mm front bar from the 96-00 Canadian Acura EL will bolt right in. I have that on my Civic with a JDM 15mm rear, and the balance is pretty good. Note Si is 13mm rear. Enjoy.

thanks for the info. I'm going to go with type r swaybar in the back with the beaks kit and then get the SI front swaybar.

That should be a good combination. Be sure to get the shock forks and end links for the bar and such.

Does anyone have pics of the SI front sway bar on a hatch. I am interested in seeing this. A lot of people have talked about it but I have never seen a posted pic.

I can't find a pic right now, but like he said:

Si Front sway w/ hardware
Si dampening forks
Si LCAs

If you try searching (cause this topic is asked 20 times a week) you might find a picture.

I have heard you need to drill holes to get the front sway bar installed on a DX hatch. Is this true or will everything just bolt up fine. Do you need to drill holes for the brackets that hold the bar on?

No drilling required. The holes and weld nuts are alreay in the subframe.

This was true for my 96 CX as well. The threaded holes for the dbrackets were in the frame rails.

The drilling you are talking about may be for some kind of aftermarket front sway bar that uses the stock front LCA's which on CX/DX hatches have no provisions for a sway bar.
