Parting out. Entire engine swap already gone. Selling shell and suspension once I get around to removing it all.
1989 CRX Si Street/Track Car B20 VTEC $5,500

I purchased this car with all the suspension work complete and a blown B18C. Wanting about 200hp to the wheels, I opted for building a B20/VTEC setup. I found this meticulous engine builder / tuner in Round Rock who supplied the B20 block and fully rebuilt, port and polished, 3-angle valve job GSR head. Upon completion of the build it put down 196whp, dialed back for reliability to 194whp. The car had S2K seats on a slider on the factory bracing so my first track test was cut short(I was out for less than 10min) because, with my helmet on, my head kept bumping the roof. I took the car to 2013 NASA CMC National Champion builder illicit Motorsports in Dripping Springs for a custom roll bar, new low seat mounts, and Corbeau seat instal. New seating position is perfect(I'm 6') and the track shake-down went well(2 20min stints.) Since then, however, the car has just sat in the garage as I'm too busy with work and school. Less than 5k miles since build was completed, only previously mentioned track stints, and rarely hitting vtec on the street.

To price this fairly, I painstakingly priced out every single part I have with both the going value online and the least I would take if parts sat for a few months. After tallying up the least I would take for everything, I took another $1,000 off the top and arrived at $6,500. I'm in no rush to sale so I'll probably have this up for at least 6 months before parting out.

I know this is a crazy first question. But, how is the paint?

Please excuse me if I was too blunt

Vehicle still available. I plan on bringing it to the Austin Cars and Coffee next weekend if anyone wants to check it out in person.

** Feb 18th :: After a new starter, alternator, and recharged battery the car still has it's recent no crank no start issue at random. I'm going to keep this up for $5,500 for one week then start parting it out. **

** Feb 20th :: Resolved grounding issue last night. Fabricator moved battery ground to a less than ideal location after putting the cage in. All is well now. I'll still take $5,500 and no longer plan on parting out. **

** Mar 2nd :: Willing to pull the motor and sell as long block, semi-tucked wiring, and ecu. PM for details. **
