023 is jdm 2000-2001. i have a 003 which is 96-97. 013 is 98-99. not all P73s are JDM. For instance, P73-A03 is USDM ITR 96-97

 

Yeah I remember that all jdm Integra Type R ecu are OBDIIa while usdm Integra Type R ecu are OBDIIb, I'm just not sure if all usdm ecu are OBDIIb

 

Other than not being able to read codes via the OBD2 scantool and the JDM ECU not needing a VTEC oil pressure switch, the ECU's are very similar. The fuel and timing maps are not very different between the two.

What vehicle/engine are you using this on?

 

I got a 96 spec itr engine that I am wanting to pass emissions here in Texas.

 

Ur gonna need that usdm so the obd port works to pass emissions

 

Is there any other ecu that will work besides the usdm itr ecu? I'm only going to drive the car to a local gas station that has an inspection check which is about a mile away.

 

The b16 usdm Ecu is the closet ignition wise but will run super lean an LS ecu will also work but may drive like crap lol
