Default How would you plumb up a b16 coolant expansion tank?

So with my radiator being in the front of the car and the engine in the back, i need to figure out how to plumb up a coolant expansion tank. Any thoughts on how you would go about this? Where to run the lines to and from? Maybe one from the heater core outlet on the engine?

I will probably use a tank similar to this one

Are you also running an external pump, or using the stock one? Or both? You're going to have a lot more coolant mass to move around. Good news is that should allow you to keep a smaller radiator.

That's just an overflow tank there, I would run a swirl pot setup especially with that much line. I would say top neck of motor --> swirl pot (at highest point)--> radiator top --> radiator bottom --> external pump or motor inlet. Use as much aluminum as possible, it will help dissipate more heat, stays in place, and is lighter than coolant hose.

My $0.02

Using the stock pump which should work well i think.

No that would be the correct one to use for an expansion tank. I asked Saldana (they made my radiator).

where is the highest coolant point on the B16. Throttle body? I cant run to the radiator since it is in the front of the car so i need connections in the engine bay.

Any other thoughts here? Where is the highest place on the car to tee from? Where should the return line go?

thanks!
