Default 94 Del Sol overheating

My Sol overheats 15 minutes +/- after driving. Burped the cooling system with heater on, checked cooling system for head gasket leak with rented system from auto zone with no problem. Now it cranks but no start? Took Sol to local auto shop and they changed spark plugs and installed a new alternator before the heating problem. I'm in need of suggestions. Thanks!

So now it doesn't start at all? I think you should start there. I would guess the thermostat is stuck as far as overheating but you can't check that if it won't run

Does it have spark? Fuel? What have you checked? Any cels? What engine? Mods?

Uh, yes, you can check a thermostat without the car running. Remove it from the car. Hang it in a pot of water (do NOT let it sit on the bottom) with a thermometer in the water. Boil the water. See what temperature the water is when it pops open. It should pop open at 170*F. If it doesn't, then replace it. That's the correct way to test it regardless of if the car runs or not.

As for the no-start:

Yes sure that is true. But personally see no need to waste the coolant and time to test it that way. For that you might as well just replace it with a new one and forget it.

There are no cel light, has spark. I bought a spark plug tester showing no problem. Changed the fuel filter and fuel pump works. Auto repair shop installed champion plugs and I replaced them with nkg plugs. I replaced the points and condenser, plug wires couple years ago, just can believe that's the problem. I checked the plugs for excess oil and that doesn't appear to be a problem. Any other ideas?

The cel light has worked in the past. The auto shop could have disconnected it? They did disconnent the alarm. My Sol is a 1.5 L with no mods, automatic with no ac.

Here's my second attempt to get clear answers:

Does the CEL light work now?

Currently, does the fuel pump prime?

Recharged the battery and turned the key to the on position. the CEL light went on for about 2 seconds and then stayed off. I could hear the pump go on at the same time. I thought I would check for any codes just for the fun it. I've done it before with a paperclip. To my amazement, the blue clip under the passenger dash was no longer there? Anyway, engine cranked and wanted to start but didn't. When cranking, it sounds like it is lack of fuel to engine. Just a wild guess.

D15B7?

Check whether the spark plug wires are installed in the correct firing order.

Also post clear pictures showing the cam and crank set at TDC1.

Firing order

Engine isn't at tdc. If needed i can remove drivers front tire to rotate to tdc.

Tdc is the dark mark located at 9 oclock.
