del sol dual core enough?
i have a 95 civic ex (auto) with a water/oil cooled garret gt25 turbo. ive already replaced the headgasket (high bosst hg & arp studs) and that fixed the bulk of the overheating problems. now i still overheat when im on the highway and after a few hard pulls. once i ease off or get off the highway it cools back down but its sucking down coolant like crazy (no leaks in the system btw i checked it for that) . if i go with the dual core unit from a dohc del sol should that take care of my cooling prob? thanks for the help.
if your loosing coolent i think a bigger rad is the least of your worries. you need to address that problem first. in my car i have a single core eg civic rad and im making 344 whp and i have never had it go above normal temps.
It works fine for the most part. But my car would overheat if it was above 90 or 100 degrees outside and i was pushing the car hard. Pushing the car hard like racing up the side of a mtn (canyon run) or any period of extended boost and the car would start getting pretty hot in hot weather.
Driving through the desert last year in 112 degree weather she was pretty unhappy too, id have to keep the heater on now and then to keep it from overheating.
