Default Slimline alternator plug? H22 crx turbo/alternator clearance

Evening all,
I dont have enough room to plug the alternator plug in due to the 3inch downpipe being in the way. Is there a solution out there for this? I was going to chop the plug on the loom, crimp on some spade connectors which would help with the clearance issue. The other problem i'm going to run into is heat, should I wrap the downpipe or make a heatshield for the alternator or both?

Cheers for your helpings

Which alternator are you using?

Explicitspeedperformance.net makes a kit to adapt a d series alternator:
Explicit Speed Performance

QSD has a kit to use a B series alternator:
THE Alternative Alternator Bracket

Innovative Mounts also has a bracket for lower profile:
H22 Alternator Relocator

Thanks for the reply. I have the ESP lower alternator bracket but it gets in the way of the charge piping. ESP are currently not taking orders due to moving it says on their site. I have started to fabricate a upper alternator relocation bracket but the plug is very near to the downpipe meaning the wiring will get fried. I wondered if anyone has encountered a similar problem and how did they get round it?
