Default issues starting and running while cold.

89 dx hatchback. B18a1 5 speed. Mpfi & Obd-1 converted.

Showing codes 6 and 10.

Im in the Midwest and it's getting colder. Since I've owned this it's always been a little grouchy while cold, but nonow that below freezing Temps are here she's really pissed off.

Takes about 5 minutes to start if left off for more then 4-5 hours. It will fire and die, fire and die, fire and die. Then will fire and idle at about 100rpm for about 30 seconds, repeat about 5 times before I can get a good Rev out of it. First time it catches I can give it a good Rev and it will hold it for about 20 seconds then stall out. Repeat two or three times then I can finally keep it running.

Absolutely undrivable until the temp gauge at least moves a little. Stumbles, stutters, backfires, etc. Once it warms up you wouldn't even know it has a problem.

Can the iat or ect sensors really cause that much trouble?? I've heard about bypassing the iat with a 4.5k resistor, is that really an option or should I forget about that?

Any help you guys can give would be great, it's my daily driver and gotta keep it on the road so need to get this figured out before it gets much colder.

Also forgot, for some reason they hooked the fan to an ignition power source, so it is always on. What do I need to check/change to get them hooked up properly?
