93 dx build
I was looking for a project to keep me busy. My friend was selling this 93 DX and it needed a few little things but the body for the most part was straight and the motor was locked. I just bought a house and stuff so i figured i would work on it little by little then my ex cheated on me with my ex room mate so i kicked them both out and started putting all my spare money into the car. Pictures are blurry but my phone is the only camera i have. This first set is when i first had it. I figured i was just gonna spray paint it or something but a guy at worked talked me out of it so i moved it to his shop to do paint and body work.
I moved it to my friends shop and started working on things. I definitely didn't want to go back red so i flat blacked the engine bay after scuffing it a little. Not the greatest work in the world but i was satisfied. i went on to acquire the motor, my cousin broke the shifter stabilizer bar on his gsr trans so he got another one. I had the guys at my work in the welding shop fab me up a bracket to hold the stabilizer bar on the transmission. It came out pretty good and it holds it in place very well. I ordered the b18b from H Motors and put it all in then had to order some jumper harnesses from RYWIRE (motor was obd2). It all started up fine but i noticed the water pump was leaking so i did timing belt water pump and tensioner. I was wanting some style in the car so i got a quick release and a Nardi wheel and shift **** and wired the horn up cleaned the interior as much as i could for that time.
Primed it started body work. You don't notice dents on it till you get a coat of paint on it. I ended up getting in a car wreck in between all this i bought a brand new FR-S and a guy didn't yield in a dodge pickup when i was getting on the highway so i was unable to work on the car for about 4 months (or do anything really). I finally recovered for the most part and could start working on the car again. We started back up doing the paint and body work again and i went with silverstone metallic with a little pearl added to it. I really like how it all came out. The guy helping me paint has only painted a few cars so its a learning process for both of us. we had little imperfections but we go back and fix them as it happens and learn.
These pictures were taken last night (11/10/14). We finished up the hood, i repainted the molding and side skirts to get any overspray off them and cleaned up the windows. All we lack are a few touch ups and checking over everything to make sure suspension and everything is tight and it should be on the road by this weekend.
Parts list:
Yonaka exhaust
H Motors B18B1
integra rear disc conversion and rear lca's
energy suspension rear trailing arm bushings
AEM intake with K&N filter
Nardi wood grain steering wheel and shift ****
NRG hub and quick release
Innovative shift linkage
Eibach springs and KYB GR2 struts (for now)
Integra front sway bar and front control arms
This is not the end of the modding i want to do a lot more this is just as far as i am right now

a little update i went to test drive the car and it felt like it had no power. I thought the timing belt slipped so i got a gates one to replace the one i had on there just to make sure. As i get it apart and pull the valve cover, most of the rocker arms on the intake side are off and most on exhaust side were loose. I needed a valve adjustment so was getting all the rocker arms back on and one of the valves on the intake side was stuck. Not sure what the deal was and i have had the motor a year already so i just said screw it i wanted to rebuild the head eventually anyways. I order brian crower cams, valves, springs and retainers, guides and valve seals. As of right now my head is at a machine shop to get the guides pressed out and the new ones pressed in. My friend runs a small import shop in town (Tweakd Motorsports) and he is helping me with the rebuild of the head since i have never rebuilt a head on my own before. Hopefully we have it all together this weekend. I figure i cant find a new car i like and don't have a car payment so i will just replace as much as i can on this one to make it run like new.
thanks for all the compliments and looks i just cant wait to get to actually drive this thing more than just around the block. I am still waiting to get my head back from the guides getting pressed back in but i have been doing a few things to prepare for the future. I changed the fuel pump to a Grams 310 lph pump, RDX injectors with an AEM fuel rail and FPR. i know its a little overkill right now but i plan on going turbo after i break in the head. i will update more when i get more done.

You left your billing address visible...idk how bad the Honda theft is in TX, but here in Toronto we've had NSX's stolen lately, just a friendly warning theft is crazy up here right now. what turbo have you picked? the paint turned out good better then I was expecting.
oops fixed, Honda theft is bad everywhere not horrible in my little town but in the Houston/Dallas Ft worth area it is pretty bad.
I am still researching turbo but i am not looking at more than 275 to the wheels so i am looking into a precision and a turbonetics.
paint has turned out good i need to go back over it and wetsand it but i just haven't had a chance lately but i plan on doing it early next week.
