Default near imposible to down shift?

hi guys.
i have problem with downshifting.
i can't put in gears unless i come to a complete stop..
even 2nd gear.
and also hard to get the shift **** out of reverse as well

checked master/slave cylinder.. no leaks or loss of fluid.
did tranny fluid change . almost no help ..

would it be bad clutch itself?

Could be many things. Yes, it could be just that the clutch is going bad. I would try to adjust the clutch first though.

I had the same thing and it turned out to be the pressure plate.

I had the same issue. Root cause: spring fell off clutch and was jammed between pressure plate and clutch. Replaced clutch, problem fixed.

FYI Of course it can, although it may not be the source of his problem (probably just needs to replace the clutch, etc.). Just adjust the actuation of the hydraulic system to vary the amount the throwout bearing depresses the fingers on the pressure plate.

If clutch disc has defective spring(s), the clutch hydraulic system may very well be the root cause of the problem. The overly pressure from the system will cause the spring casing to break and the spring(s) will pop out. With that said, after you replace the clutch, double check the hydraulic system and make any necessary adjustment.

my clutch friction disc does not have springs.
my last clutch (exedy stage 1 ) broke the spring off that one.
so I made sure I got one without the springs on the disc.
im running action clutch now..

In that case, one of thePP fingers broke off and is jamming some where?

Sounds like you may have to drop the tranny. Sorry mane. What i would do is have someone push the clutch pedal and watch the piston action of the slave and make sure it is fully extending. If so, then it has got to be something inside and hopefully not the transmission itself. Did you check the fluid level in your tranny?
