after replacing the timing belt/water pump on a 96 Civic, the dipstick tube comes out easy when removing the dipstick itself. I heard a metallic sound of something landing on the ground when I removed the front cover off the engine when I did the timing belt. When I put the engine back together the tube "clicks" in all the way. This is a pic of a clip, I don't know where it goes...does it secure the dipstick tube?

 

Isnt the dip stick suppose to be easy to pull in and out?

You misunderstood Tommy boy. I didnt mean "look at" as in potentially purchase. I meant it as a visual comparison, it works much better than having internet folk explain it to you or even pictures.
