clicking noise

Default clicking noise

when i put load to the wheels...like if i were checking motor mounts....clicking noise occurs. has this happened to anyone. i am afraid its the axle. thanks

not sure I understand your question. you mean while driving or parked?

btw, you riding in the R in the bronx? joo crazy mang. ever hit up Hunts? Ive seen a few Rs down there on occassion.

Not sure I understand what you mean by this...do you mean you hear clicking noise whne you make a hard turn and one of the wheel is loaded or do you mean putting load on the wheels when accelerating hard?

Also what is the frequency of the clicking ?

could be the CV joints, do you have a warranty? if so use it. I did and they paid for everything.

i think it might be cv joints, but if it is i know the dealer is gonna give me a hard time. Yeah i've gone to the point. i know 3 guys with r's that aren't even registered here.

lets say you put your e-brake on and go into first gear. when the motor moves and pressure is applied to the wheels, a click noise occurs. It only clicks once. to make it click again i have to put it into reverse and do the same thing. not while turning or anything. I will chech the mounts before e-town on sunday. thanks for the replies

Don't worry. Why are you "putting a load on"??? Is this some weird JDM ritual? Serves no logical purpose with a FWD transverse engine that I can see.

r u a mechanic.......it doesnt look like it. let me make it more simple for you. when power is "transferred" to the wheels.

loose bolt on motor or tranny mount that goes to frame. too much free play

Could be the LSD "locking up", could also be in one of the suspention linckage.
