Hey guys, i recently swapped a the manual transmission on my accord.. What oil is the recommended one for the transmission?

 

What year and which transmission is it?

 

I wouldn't use anything except Honda MTF.

 

My Bad. It's a 96

 

+1 on the Honda MTF only. I've tried others including AMSoil and it doesn't shift as well. The problem is that when it's cold and trying to downshift, it's very hard with other oils but the honda stuff is better.

The new Honda MTF is pretty good. I just replace mine. Shifts like butter.

 

I have used another highly rated oil before, and it shift horrible, and as soon as I went back to Honda MTF, it was all good again. For any Honda transmission, I wouldnt use anything other than Honda.
