Default b16/18 turbo

So I'm rebuilding this b18, and I'm hoping to get about 200-220 hp out ofit which I know is a pretty easily attainable goal, I did some reading and by the sounds of it, it can be done on a pretty much stock engine with a turbo, but what I'm wondering is, for it to be reliable, apart from a good tune what do I need? Are oem pistons going to be ok for low boost levels, say 5-8psi? And what sort of ecu will I need? Will stock injectors hold up ok if not how many cc injectors should I be looking at? Anything else I've missed? Cheers

All stock parts can handle 400hp easy , aside from fuel delivery......

FAQ sticky. Give it a good, long read. Once you're done with that, go give the FAQ sticky in the FI section a good, long read. All of your questions are answered in those two stickies.

so how much hp can the factory system sustain? Would 200hp max it out or will it be fine? And yes I have read both stickys, that's why I know most stock parts will be fine, but fine for a month or fine for years to come?*That's more my question, I know this depends on the tune and how carefully the engine is put together, and how badly it has been treated in the past, I'm trying to decide if I should go oem pistons for the rebuild, or quality aftermarket products....

Stock parts are designed for the engine to preform, so you adding 100-150hp to it with a turbo /supercharger/nitrous ect is fine... Like I said only things that might hold you back is fuel delivery.. Stock ignition good for 400hp stock sleeves are good for 10-15psi , Things like clutch and injectors and fuel pump are great parts to replace with aftermarket, everything else just screaming boost up boost up...... cams are good for 400hp ect ect.. intake manifold good for same fuel rail same, stuff that brakes like axles and stuff need upgrading...

And if stock Honda last 300K miles + then if you respect and take care of your car , it will last longer than you think boosted and all..

Its all about one part reinforcing the next part....

That right there is all anyone needs to see, to know that you have no clue what you're talking about. 15 PSI from a GT40 turbo would literally shatter ANY stock Honda sleeve, just shy of a godly tuner and AvGas. 400 WHP from a B series motor will take 20+ PSI from a 3071, which will take those stock rods and snap them in half. It also has nothing to do with "one part reinforcing the next", which is patently false. When you upgrade one part of a system, the stresses of that system are no longer shared equally among all parts. For example, upgrade a clutch too far without upgrading the transmission internals, and you'll **** differentials faster than you can ask the pit boss "does it pass tech?"

"All those fancy parts" most certainly are NOT "for show". That is quite possibly the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Do you even have HALF of a clue what went into the Bisi 700BHP D16Z6? Obviously you don't. There's basically NOTHING stock about that car. The valvetrain is completely redone. The block has (had?) Golden Eagle sleeves, and fully forged internals. The ignition and fuel systems are both completely and heavily upgraded. Go ahead and slap a BTX6565 on a stock Z6, crank it up to 11, and let us know how many separate pieces your block gets turned into. We'll wait.

You have a lot of learning to do before you go giving advice on performance adders. Please don't spread blatantly false information.
