Found the problem! D16y7 bottom end rattle
So I had a post about something ticking and rattling in my bottom end I got a new oil pan gasket and started to remove everything to get at it, I pulled off the inspection plate and a bolt fell into my hand... After some research I see that it's a pressure plate bolt. Is there anyway I can get at it without removing the transmission ? Maybe thru the top where the starter meets the flywheel? Any help is appreciated as this is my first honda
Uh, pressure plate bolts don't just magically fall out on their own. That said, I don't think it's possible to properly install pressure plate bolts without pulling the transmission.
If it's a pressure plate bolt you have bigger problems. Like how it got through the end of the block there is no opening between trans and engine . Does it have a 12 point 10mm head on the bolt ?
OP said he removed the inspection plate, which covers the flywheel, which is directly bolted onto the pressure plate. The location makes sense. The bolt doesn't.
^thanks lol I know it's not a flywheel bolt it's too small as yes it's a 12 point head on it, I've heard you can see them with the starter off, I just wondering if I can replace this bolt atleast somewhat properly without dropping the trans, I plan on putting loctite unlike the last person, even if I just use a wrench it's better then it not being there at all right?
