so I have an ef sedan with a d16z6 and it turns over but wont start.

a couple of days ago I changed the cap and rotor on the distributor then started my car. it ran for about 5-10 seconds then shut off by itself. I then read a thread that said it may be the ignition coil. so I changed that and im still having the same problem. I checked for spark and I am getting spark on every plug, im also getting gas. im quite stumped on what the problem could be. if you can help me out it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

 

Is the CEL on?

How are you checking for spark and fuel?

 

my CEL is on for the iacv but that's the only code its throwing and I took the spark plug out hooked it to the plug wire and set it on the valve cover then had someone turn the car over. as for gas I hear the fuel pump prime and when I turn the car over it smells of gas.

 

What's the exact code? If the IACV is unplugged, your car will stall.
