Anyone running the Rick Spec's Intake?
Couple questions:
1. Does the battery tray fit standard sized batteries, or is it a little larger to accommodate slightly larger batteries?
2. Is the removal of the original hard lines that connect the coolant line to the TB necessary or optional? I did not have to remove them for my current intake and since the RS intake shoots straight from the TB it looks like it might miss it completely.
3. No upper coolant hose is included to provide additional clearance like the Hybrid intake. Does this pose an issue with this intake?

Fitting the stock Honda battery in the tray was a feat, but there was a little room on the sides, so maybe a larger battery would fit.
I didn't have to remove any coolant lines or hard lines, Only thing that needed a little modification was the return vacuum line from the valve cover to the intake, you cannot use the factory hard line, I used a 10" piece of 5/8 I.D. coolant hose to make this connection.
No issue with the upper radiator hose touching the intake tube.

If you want a pic of the clearance between the upper radiator hose and intake tube, I can get out there this afternoon.
I have found the 8thGen Civic crowd far less helpful than the 5th/6th Gen Civic group.

most of the 8th gen guys on that site are very selective to what they answer and depending on who is posting...
It's something I noticed from visiting there...

Maybe because most of the newer Civic owners think their **** don't stink? Like they are some upper class of rice burner owner? I have noticed this section is full BS as well. Pretty hilarious that most of it comes from people who don't even own the generation of car they are talking about.

Or are older guys who've owned and/or been around Honda's for 20+yrs.

I spent almost two yrs on the sideline with my stock 07 Civic Si, but just like my other Civic Si's the daily drivability lacked something and th modding started, it's a vicious cycle I tell you
