Default Intermittent Code 41, HO2S

I'm so new here, I don't even know if I'm in the right spot, so I'll make it short.
My '99 has a Y8, with a JDM 5spd(stamped AAA, just like the block I blew a hole in last month) & a P28. I'm sure everything is Y8, but the harness is from an auto. I wanted to use the stock ECU (P2P?) but I broke the knock sensor & it runs like crap without it.
Now the car runs great for a bit then starts to run really bad. It stumbles upon take off, bucks a lot and feels like it is missing when running at constant hwy speed. At higher throttle & when in VTEC, it smoothes out just fine. Sometimes it throws a code 41, O2 sensor heater circuit, but not always. I do have an exhaust leak near the O2 sensor due to a missing donut, but other than that I believe its all good under the hood.
I'm leaning towards the TPS, but I hate to go through all that trouble again. I bought 2 different TPSs before and they both tested bad & didn't change anything.
If anybody can direct me to the right thread to figure this out I would really appreciate it.
Gator

PS: It will usually fix itself if its turned off for a minute or so, sometimes shutting the car off while coasting to a stop will get her running just fine again.

Answered your own question.
If fixing the leak doesn't fix it, replace the O2. If a new O2 doesn't fix it, you have bad wiring. Nothing else will cause that.

Wiring was just fine. Replaced donut & O2 sensor but nothing changed. There are a number of things which will cause an erratic idle (map sensor, tps, iacv, iat sensor etc). The O2 sensor should not, at least with other makes it doesn't. Thank you for your input.
