B20b low compression
from engine depot
Wont Rev Past 6k rpms
p28 chipped with b20 basemap from Xenocron
i tried other ecu's and same results please someone Help asap
P28 settings:
7200rpm revlimiter
2 step at 3500rpm

 

Is the CEL on? Does it work?

 

no CEL the bulb is there too

 

Just because the bulb is there doesn't mean it works. When you turn your key to ON(II), does it come on for ~3-5 seconds, then turn back off?

 

it does work i had a check engine light before for 02 sensor and i fixed it

 

So when it hits 6k, does it feel like it's run out of power, or does it act like it's hitting a rev limiter? Have you checked your mechanical and ignition timing? Did you replace basic maintenance items when you installed the motor?

 

its hard to explain the car doesnt hit revlimiter but it forces me to shift
car runs fine

 

Then you need to check your timing.

 

but just wont pass 6k and it has a obd1 dizzy i changed everything all the internals to new to see if that would fix the problem

 

the timing belt is where is supposed to arrows pointing up and i did the timing light to and i did a valve adjustment

 

The internals of the distributor, or of the motor?

What color is your spark? Have you done a compression test?

 

idk ill check in a few wat color is the spark

 

and yeah the internals of the dizzy
