Timing belt job - Cam & Crank seals question
Hi, i am doing my timing belt job, while im there, what should i change? Also, would want to do a little preventative maintenance as well. Here are the parts i changed and going to change:
Changed within 15 months:
distributor assembly
cam plug
wires
spark plugs
thermostat
serpentine belts
Going to change:
ordered Gates TCKWP247
-timing belt, tensioner, waterpump and gasket
14516-PR4-A00 tensioner spring (necessary?)
17130-PM6-G01 PCV
91213-PR3-004 cam seal x2
crank seal
16010-ST5-E02 fuel filter
12341-PR3-000 valve cover gasket
12342-PT2-000 tube seals x4
Am i missing anything else? And what's the part number for crank seal? Thank you very much in advance.
And most likely ordering through https://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org

checked Delray, they have everything other than the fuel filter. And compare to acuraautomotiveparts, they are around $6 cheaper.

The timing belt is the only part number that doesn't cross-reference to the honda catalogue. The same parts from Honda re cheaper. I'd order everything from hondaautomotiveparts.com since you're getting the timing belt locally.

^Sells both Honda & Acura parts. The Acura counterparts are always a few cents cheaper. Use coupon code SWOOSH to get half off shipping price on orders over $100. These guys are in Arizona and always have great customer service. Takes a few days extra if they have to get Honda specific parts from the neighboring Honda dealer.

I ordered thru www.acuraautomotiveparts.org since i can't wait. And www.oemacuraparts.com don't offer the fuel filter for some reason.
Car is apart, can't wait to put it back together.

sorry my bad, it doesn't have 91213-PR3-003 (crank seal) is what i meant.
When i put 91213-PR3-003, it always shows as 91213-PR3-004.

what the heck...strange. Cause yesterday when i add #17 to cart, it will become 91213-PR3-004.
But now i just tried, it's on its own now.

If I do a raw search for that part#, it does change it to 004. No idea why. If you have questions about stuff like that, contact them. They usually respond same day.
Sorry to thread jack but felt it was appropriate. I am doing my valve cover gasket, spark plug seals. Should I do anything else at the same time? I am hearing about cam seals....any links to a good DIY?
Update. I plan to do the exhaust cam seal since I will be in there. Should I worry about the intake cam seal behind the distributor? Do these go bad?

Personally I wouldn't touch any seals if they aren't actually leaking. They can run forever without leaking. Conversely, you could screw up the install and cause a leak with a brand new seal.
As for the distributor, it's got an o-ring. sealing it to the head. Very easy to replace. Again I wouldn't bother if it wasn't leaking.
I've got a 89 CRX at 226k miles with original crank seals in it (knock on wood).

Sounds good. The intake side doesn't look bad from what I can see but I am leaking oil out of valve cover and there is a lot of residue around where the exhaust cam cap is.
