Default Injector Dynamics 1000 install ITR b18c

I attempted to install the id 1000 today in my stock manifold/ stock fuel rail jdm 98 spec itr.

My rail didn't have spacers underneath. I used stock thick soft rubber grommet at the intake manifold.

I have the blue 11mm top hats.

Problem-- I have roughly .100 space between the rail standoff and rail... So should I just find a spacer to take up the difference>?

I haven't found much info out about this except for s2k guys having to use a .060 spacer.

Are the injectors snug in the manifold grommets?

Are the o-rings fully seated in the fuel rail?

If so, use a feeler gauge and determine the clearance between the rail and the mounts. You'll need to be fairly accurate, as I am assuming boost, so the injector body should ideally rest on the manifold seal to prevent it from creeping. A little slack is okay, but the closer, the better.

Yeah they are snug When I pushed them in they felt solid and clicked into the manifold. They feel perfect as is except for the gap at the stand off. I'm gonna just get a thin washer tighten down and if I get leaks then I'll figure out the problem.

Injector dynamics told me as long as I don't leak fuel then all is well

fixed... Just went ahead and put the nut on the stud and slowly and evenly tightened down ... Went in further and seems to be fine...
