Hello, let me first say this is my first swap and any help would be greatly appreciated. First off im doing a sway in a 1990 integra da. it had a jdm b16a in the car when I bought it and it had a spun bearing. After I tried to replace the bearing and it continued to knock even more. So a buddy of mine had a b18b1 from a 1995 integra. So I swapped it in. Got the motor in and now I trying to figure out the wiring. I have the engine harness from the b16a and the harness from the b18b1. I also have a pr4 ecu and whatever the obd1 ecu that came out of the 1995. My question is do I need to swap the distributor from the b16 over to the b18 and then put the engine harness from the b16 to the b18 and just run the pr4 obd0 ecu so I don't have to get a ecu harness jumper. also do I need to change anything else?
The B16 distributor won't bolt up correctly, you'll want a 90-91 B18A distributor. For simplicities sake just swap over injectors from the B16 to the B18 and run the PR4 ECU. Also the fan switch is on the thermostat housing on the B18 so you'll have to wire it from the back of the block to there. You could use the OBD1 ECU but you'll also have to use the B18's distributor and injectors and convert to a 4 wire oxygen sensor.
