Well this is what happened.. Going down the street, the car made a loud noise, and then afterwards on take offs and when you shift, it feels like the car has its ebrake on, not on full, but a little. I dont know what it is. To me it sounds like a bad axle, or maybe wheel bearing(dont know any symptoms of this but maybe), or maybe a rear drum is stuck. Its a 91 HF.

So in general it feels like the car drags on takeoffs and when you shift in second, etc. Anyway, I dont know, need some help.

when you take off it sounds like its rubbing or something i guess, it also feels like it drags a little.

 

Couple ideas I came up with.. Can the syncros be bad? Or if the axle is going bad, will the car still drive, and feel like its dragging? Just trying to throw more ideas out..

 

I'd say your best bet is to take off the rims, and take a look at your brakes. Try to spin the rotors on the front brakes, if those look good, try the same thing on the rear drum brakes - just see if they spin freely. Just take a peek, and you might find that it's something quite simple... Maybe.

 

i agree with what mrtodd said...check all of your brakes.

 

That was my first guess, brake problem. I guess we will just have to check it out.
