Leave the flat black 'murdered out' look for the prepubescent 16-19y.o.'s.
At best you will make your car hotter in the summer.

If your gonna go satin pick a color, would look better than overdone black.

It's not flat! lol - I agree this isn't my prime choice. But i am on the strictist budget known to man. Going through bankruptcy so saving as much as I can. It's not lowered or fart canned or anything - just making it one uniformed color since its got a variety pack of rust / light green / dark green and white scratches.

Personal suggestion, go with PlastiDip rather than actual spray paint. If you ever wanted to actually paint it again, it's a lot easier to remove that PlastiDip than it would be to sand through all that spray paint.

PlastiDip is also going to look a lot more uniform rather than the streaks you'll likely see with a can.

I have the DYC Plastidip Pro-Kit, but am not willing to spend a couple hundred on dip right now. Id rather dip over the spray paint down the road if i end up having her last a long time

Light gray primer. It's the only thing to do.

Cheap but aspirational.

A couple hundred? Say what?

Go to Lowe's and buy a couple cans that are $6 a pop.

Do it right...IMO there is no right way to plastidip a car. And do not primer your car, unless it is a primer sealer $$$. In that case you would be better off with a Tremclad/Rustoleum spray bomb job... However, I agree, pick a better colour than black. They have satin in other colours at the same price. Why not a nice Claret Wine Rustoleum/Tremclad N2262 830. Home Depot puts these things up on sale quite often.

I have seen a few Roller paint jobs that turned out OK, for what they are! There have been a few DIY spray and roller paint threads here on HT. Maybe not Accords, but the Civic kids do it all the time! have a look around...
