Default Thinking of swapping my f22b2 to a f20b.(97 Accord sedan SE)

Would it be worth it to do an engine swap? Also, I'd like to keep it automatic, I've done some research. The f20B(OBD2) drops right into the f22b2 slot, just a few things needed to be changed out. If you guys have any other suggestions, let me know. This is my first car, still learning.

The gearing in the trans will not be correct for the engine.
SOHC F22B2
Max power: 130 hp (97 kW) @ 5300 rpm
Max torque: 139 lb·ft (188 N m) @ 4200 rpm

DOHC F20B
Max power: 200 hp (150 kW) @ 7000 rpm
Max torque: 145 lb·ft (197 N·m) @ 5500 rpm

Although the 2.0 has more peak power/torque it more than likely has less torque 'under the curve' and will be a dog to drive with the 2.2 transmission.

To better enjoy the power of the 2.0 you would be best to also change out the transmission with one that came with the 2.0 or use an AT from an Odyssey or Prelude.

Why would he need to use an OBD1 H22 distributor?

OP,
The F20B came with an auto trans. Find and importer and ask them to ship the full engine trans swap and drop it in! If you ask the importer you could probably get the harness and ECU as well. $$$ but less headaches in the long run.
