Default Carbon Fiber skinning

I'm trying to cover a few fiberglass parts with carbon fiber. From what I've seen, it's commonly called skinning.

Could I get some suggestions on the epoxy base coat? I'm not exactly sure what to use. I am also not sure what lacquer top coat to use prior to UV clear coat. Is this just the same as laying carbon fiber? I was thinking it would be different since I am trying to adhere it to a base product.

I have seen a few people suggest that I can use clear resin (like you use on fiberglass) to adhere the carbon to the glass since the carbon fiber isn't really providing any strength.

I just don't want the carbon fiber to peel off on me.

Thanks.

Clear resin will be fine if you want to put the carbon directly on the glass. Just make sure to roll it on well and get all the air bubbles put of the middle and it will set just fine. Or you can use the glass part as the actual plug with some more work involved of course.

Do you know what grade carbon fiber you are going to use?
