Default trouble starting

Ok so my cb7 wont start, it goes periods where it will start but then once in a while it wont start, the batterys new, the ignition switch turns everything on and starts the car fine except when it wont, it wont turn over, this morning i roll started the car (btw its 5 spd and clutch safety switch is bypassed i think, i havent pushed clutch to start since i bought the car) anyways i roll started the car it ran finei turned it off andit started back up but sluggishly, i did this acouple times to see if it would start for when i needed to go to work, of course it didnt start when i needed to go to work.... Could it be the starter gone bad with an open circuit draining the battery??? Im going to have the starter tested today

EGR ports according to the FSM cause frequent stalling when the engine is warm. I replaced my fuel pump but was still having trouble starting even after waiting 2 sec for pump to prime. my EGR was completely blocked off all 4 ports. now its clean and fast flowing.

Come on bro hes specifically talking about the car not starting .. he doesnt say anything about it stalling.

OP, you need to test for battery voltage at the small wire going to the starter when you turn the key to the start position. If you dont get voltage the problem isnt the starter.

When it doesnt start...what does it do? Do the panel lights go out? Go dim...does it click? All good info to know. Does it do it after the cars been sitting for a long time...or does that matter? If it does do it, say first thing in the morning...i wonder if you have a slight ground fault...draining your battery? Which would make the battery weak enough to not start car...but after a few minutes charging...gives it enough juice to be sluggish when starting it? Just thinking out loud.

i was just trying to help. maybe i shouldnt anymore. who cares...

my car wouldnt start even after the fuel pump replacement and it turns out it was the EGR. a few bolts and a $5 can of carb cleaner and problem solved. the car wouldnt start but sometimes it would start and die immediately and not start again for 5 minutes or more. not like i told him to build a marble temple to the God of Honda.
