Default 01 Crv keeps throwing missfire code

I can't figure out why but I still have an ignition problem apparently. Replaced : cap, rotor, plugs and wires and I'm still throwing the code. Idle can be some whay slightly rough and possible low (500 rpm). Car overall drives perfect and gets good mpg. Is my dizzy going bad? I'm selling it soon and want that code gone!!!! Please help

my 98 has a random missfire cyl 1 but only when i drive on the freeway for extended periods of time 150-200 miles it will pop up.

I can go months without it but on the freeway on a longer trip. boop there it is. it still runs like its all good but it tells me something happened. I've changed everything including the coil so next is to swap injectors and see. whenever I get around to it. if that doesn't solve it im going to call it a ECU failure.

I think I may have some carbon buildup. Going to run 93+booster+B12 to see if I can clean out injectors and vavles a little...

megameet is this common?

my ecu did this missfire code cyl 1 random miss the same as yours 80mph cruising on the highway.

You never even notice anything which I've witnessed actual missfires and its some rough ****.

This code was shown on the ecu before i swapped engines a year ago. The injectors are the same so that was my last place to look really just hate pulling the fuel rail.

Possible Valve adjust - look it up, common problem on this particular b20 engine
I did mine and it solved the code issue, and has run great since, more power, better mpg too.

Hi NIKADEM0,

Seems like you haved covered most things, however I would suggest a bore scope and compression test to check for burnt valves.

Rgs,
